About the Teacher:

Sean Devincenzi

Sean Devincenzi grew up here in Sonoma county. He lived in Petaluma and went to Petaluma high school. He then went to UC Santa Cruz for a Bachelors degree of Computer Science and Astrophysics. He had always had a love for video games and science fiction. Astrophysics was not the main focus of his studies; he just took the classes because they sounded fun.

His love for teaching began in College when he became a peer tutor. As long as you had passed the class with an A you could tutor other students who were taking the class after you. The switch really flipped one night when he had 60 students show up for a study session when he had been expecting only ten. Over half of the students from the class of 200 came to the session. His small study room was upgraded to a lecture hall and on that night he decided that he was going to teach.

After college he coached sports teams for a local high school in Santa Cruz. After moving back to his hometown of Petaluma he got back into tutoring and is now an in-home
Science and Math tutor on top of teaching the Modding Minecraft class here at ConnectEd.
