A hands-on class for kids who love making videos and want to level up their skills with real editing and on-camera techniques.
Students learn how to create YouTube-style content using just their phones, simple lighting setups, and beginner-friendly filming techniques. Then, they take their footage into professional editing software to learn cuts, effects, sound balancing, transitions, and creative storytelling. It’s a fun, confidence-building class where kids get to make videos they’re genuinely excited about.
In This Class, Students Will:
Film with phones, ring lights, tripods, and simple studio setups
Learn editing, effects, transitions, and audio cleanup in professional software
Write short scripts, plan shots, and record voiceovers
Create fun YouTube-style videos they can share with friends and family

About the Teacher:
Ava Stubblefield
Ava Stubblefield is a performing speaker, singer-songwriter, and private music teacher based in Santa Rosa, California. Growing up in the Bay Area, she spent nine years as a competitive synchronized swimmer, an experience that helped shape her discipline, confidence, and performance skills. She later transitioned into the performing arts, appearing in a variety of plays and musicals with the 6th Street Playhouse.
Ava has worked with hundreds of music students during her three years at School of Rock Santa Rosa and currently teaches private voice lessons at Stanroy Music Center. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in a love for communication, character-building, and creative expression. She is passionate about helping others grow through music and believes that improvisation, creation, and self-expression are essential skills for success.
